Japan -> TOKYO -> Sumida River Cruise Sumida River Cruise TOKYO, Tokyo Prefecture The Sumida River Cruise is a great way to see another view of Tokyo. The cruise starts from the Hama Detached Palace Garden and squeezes through a gate in the sea wall to Tokyo Bay, ending in Asakusa in Northern Tokyo. The river used to be the preferred mode of transport and shipping but declined with the introduction of the railways. The Sumida has since been cleaned up as river traffic is again increasing. |
