Japan -> TOKYO -> Rainbow Bridge Rainbow Bridge TOKYO, Tokyo Prefecture The Rainbow Bridge is a 2,618ft (798m) long suspension bridge that crosses northern Tokyo Bay between Shibaura Pier and Odaiba. The bridge was started in 1987 and completed in 1993. Its official name is the "Shuto Expressway No. 11 Daiba Route - Port of Tokyo" but the public adopted the name of "Rainbow Bridge," or "RB." The towers supporting the bridge are white but illuminated nightly with tricolored lights, giving it a rainbow appearance. There are two decks for transportation and two separate walkways that offer views of Tokyo. |
